Quick Fix For Those Small Health Irritants!

At the best of times, our bodies work so well that we barely notice them. Few of working a modern schedule expect to feel great all the time, but we do ask our body doesn’t demand attention of us. No pain, soreness or irritating issues and we’re generally happy.

Somewhere along the line though, our bodies thought: “nah”. There are a thousand and one little ways something can go wrong. Most of them aren’t life threatening, but that doesn’t mean they’re not annoying. What we’re going to discuss here isn’t the huge issues that dominate most health talk; it’s the little, annoying areas. The frustrations rather than the catastrophes. But even as “just” frustrations, they can make life unpleasant – so why suffer when you don’t have to?

Problem: Feeling you have to blow your nose all the time and/or congestion without known cause.

Potential Cause: Post-nasal drip (sexy name, right?)

Fix: Nasal irrigation. It sounds painful, but it isn’t – just mildly unpleasant. Using a purpose-made water solution (normal water will hurt), use a squeezy bottle to inject water through one nostril. Let it run through the other nostril and exit through the mouth. Repeat three times a week. It’s one of those little things that can make a big difference.

Problem: Skin feels sticky after showering. You’re prone to acne breakouts that no treatment can resolve. You can’t seem to get soap or shampoo to lather fully.

Potential Cause: Your water is hard or from a well supply.

Fix: Soften your water. You can do this with a special shower head, or soften the water through your whole house. This can be done with a water softener attached to the supply pipe. You will find some of the best water softeners reviewed by WaterSoftenerGuide.com and other online sources.

Problem: Dry and itchy eyes for no known medical cause. (Be aware this is a symptom of an autoimmune condition called Sjogren’s Syndrome, and should be checked out.)

Potential Cause: Not enough tear production

Fix: Our eyes dry out easily. Anything that might damage your skin – excess heat, air conditioning, UV light – can also damage your eyes. Use sunglasses whenever you’re outside; it’s better to be comfortable than risk being judged for it. Take breaks from looking at a computer screen. Only use eye drops that don’t contain preservatives, which can actually make the problem worse.

Problem: Nails are weak and break easily

Potential Cause: Lack of vital nutrients and/or improper care

Fix: Have your vitamin levels checked with a blood test and consider a multivitamin. Look into supplementing biotin, which has a huge impact on the health of hair and nails. Also try and massage oil into your nails at least once a day. The oil is beneficial for keeping things soft, while the massage stimulates blood flow.

Problem: Persistent lip chapping

Potential Cause: Using lip balms (yes, really) or licking your lips too often. Sometimes dehydration.

Fix: Conventional store-brand lip balms can actually make dry and sore, and there is evidence you become “addicted” to them. Switch out for a simple substitute such as coconut oil or lanolin. Your lips might need a few days to adjust and go through a detox, but you’ll soon feel far more comfortable.

I hope these tips help you in some way!
